

Coach, Sport Scientist & Educator
Born and raised in California, Kevin Mangan has been involved in sport in several ways. He competed and coached in NCAA Division 1 Track & Field and Cross Country before starting a PhD in Exercise Science. He has a BA in Communication from the University of Washington and an MS in Sport Pedagogy from Baylor University. He is currently working on a PhD in Exercise Science from the University of Canterbury. He also has university teaching experience in Exercise Physiology, Sports Nutrition and Sport Management. He has coached athletes training to run their first half marathon through to elites. Beyond endurance and running expertise, he has conducted academic research in basketball, rock climbing and rugby covering human performance, sports medicine and sports psychology topics.
